Bunko night and raffle winner

Congradulations to Jeff Stone of Jeffersonville, he is the winner of the September 8th raffle.  The Friends of raised $1,760.00.
The Friends of the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office will be having a Bunko tournament on Sept. 17th 7:00 pm at the Senior Center located on Bullard Road inside the city limits of Jeffersonville.  Tickets are $5.00 and there will be a prize for the high score of the night.
Bunco is a game of dice, played in rounds. Players take turns rolling the dice and trying to accumulate as many points as possible to win each round. The game is played at tables of four in competing teams of two.
At the end of the round players change seats, the winners at each of the lower tables move up a table, and the losers at the head table move to the lowest table. Players also switch partners at the end of the round, so you never play with the same partner twice in a row.
During play, players track the number of rounds they win and lose as a team, and the number of Buncos scored individually, on their personal scorecard. At the end of the night wins/losses and Buncos are tallied and prizes awarded.
This game really allows you to make new friends and get to know others from all over the community.  So come out and have a great night and make some new friends. Drinks and refreshments will be served.
All donations will go towards purchasing much needed equipment for the Sheriff's Office.  Any Questions please call Major Jamie McDaniel at 478-945-3357 ext. 106

I have a friend that served in the military and she told me about a website that offers special discounts for military families. What I found surprising was that it not only offers discounts through national companies, they had local restaurants and merchants that offered great deals, some were owned by vets. They also had news, some hilarious jokes, information for people interested in joining the military and so much more! Has anyone else seen this sight and have you gone to some of the businesses listed. Please let me know. The website is: mymilitarypages.com
