The Friends of the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. As a result, all (100%) of our revenue goes toward enhancing the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office and its endeavors.
We focus on developing and maintaining quality programs that help the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office's community projects. We believe that these educational and awareness programs result in increased safety and economic viability in the Twiggs County community.
We also raise funds to purchase needed equipment for the Sheriff's Office.  This equipment is used by the Sheriff's Office to keep criminals out of our neighborhoods, to make our highways and roadways a safer environment, and allows for the Sheriff's Office to be more efficient in its law enforcement capacity.
Created in 2008 by concerned citizens, the purpose of the Friends of the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office is to:
  • Promote and enhance the positive image of the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office.
  • Fund valuable programs beyond the means of the department's budget.
  • Procurement of much needed equipment to enhance law enforcement.
  • Act as a bridge between the Sheriff's Office and the community.
