There has NEVER been anyone in the White House at any time who has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady's social life. One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense, when even Hillary, only had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President's own pocket.

Yes, I know, The Canadian Free Press has to publish this because the
USA media is too scared they might be considered racist.  Sorry America!

First Lady Requires More Than Twenty Attendants

July 7, 2009

Dr. Paul L. Williams

"In my own life, in my own small way, I have tried to give back to this country that has given me so much," she said. "See, that's why I left a job at a big law firm for a career in public service, " Michelle Obama

No, Michele Obama does not get paid to serve as the First Lady and she doesn't perform any official duties. But this hasn't deterred her from hiring an unprecedented number of staffers to cater to her every whim and to satisfy her every request in the midst of the Great Recession. Just think Mary Lincoln was taken to task for purchasing china for the White House during the Civil War. And Mamie Eisenhower had to shell out the salary for her personal secretary.

How things have changed! If you're one of the tens of millions of Americans facing certain destitution, earning less than subsistence wages stocking the shelves at Wal-Mart or serving up McDonald cheeseburgers, prepare to scream and then come to realize that the benefit package for these servants of Miz Michelle are the same as members of the national security and defense departments and the bill for these assorted lackeys is paid by John Q. Ernest Butts, Twiggs County - The Cobras standout tailback rushed for 222 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries in a 39-0 win over Hawkinsville.

Robins Medical Clinic stinks!

I am very dissatisfied with the medical clinics on base here at Robins.

Yesterday late afternoon after the clinics had closed for the day, I recieved two phone calls telling me that both my son, and I were needed for shots at the base clinic.

Today I drove 25 miles with all three of my children to the base, only to be told that they ran out of the shots yesterday afternoon, before the system called me.

This is the third time this fall that this has happened to us. I was told by the clinic to see about taking them off base to get their shots, however this will take what amounts to an act of Congress.

I called no fewer than 10 doctors off base, only to be told that they would only give my children the vaccine if my children were active members of their practices. Unlike what Tricare told me that they may say we needed to do an office visit, and in order for that to happen we would need a refferal from their PCM. The PCM who by the way in 2 years of us being stationed at Robins has never seen my children, because there is never any appointments available. My middle child had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment with her PCM this summer, and in two years that was only her second appointment on base. My youngest child and myself have both only ever been seen on base twice since coming to Robins, and my oldest has never been seen at Robins, because we can never get an appointment. Oh and asking out PCM for a referral, that supposedly we should be able to have in a matter of hours, (up to 48) has taken us up to ten days to get.

Tricare has no solutions for anyone other than to change to Tricare standard and pay the huge co-pays off base. It is obvious to me that the Air Force and Robins in general no longer cares for the military family, and the costs that you are forcing us to pay because of lack of planning on their part!!

I hope anyone else coming to Robins realizes this is going to be a huge problem, and changes to Tricare Standard before coming. Because I can tell you from experience that you can never get an appointment on base for your family!

Elijay Apple Festival

So I have heard for a couple of months now about this Apple Festival up in the mountains north of Atlanta, almost to the Tennessee line. I have wanted to go since first hearing about it, and knew that the weekend would be a good weekend to make the long drive since we have three days off this week for fall break. The only draw back was that Friday was homecoming, so we were out until late. The kids and I got up and were on the road about 10, with a quick trip to the base for gas and breakfast, we headed north. It took us about 3 hours to get to Elijay, but we had a great time.

The Apple Festival is held on the Lion's Club Fairgrounds, and the entire thing is filled with craft booths. Lots of fried fair food, lots of neat things to look at. Wish I would have had a ton of money, so I could have purchased everything that I saw that I liked. :)

The view of the river as we walked up/down to the festival. It was a cloudy, misty day, but no rain.

MEDIA ADVISORY ** MEDIA ADVISORY ** MEDIA ADVISORY

PRESS CONFERENCE SCHEDULED FOR ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING FUTURE OF LUKE AIR FORCE BASE

WHO: Governor Jan Brewer, Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs, Fighter Country Partnership Chairman Charley Freericks and other government and business leaders will converge at the State Capital to make a special announcement regarding the future of Luke Air Force Base. There will also be statements from U.S. Senator John McCain and Congressman Trent Franks.

WHAT: Since 1941, Luke AFB's mission has been to serve as a training base for America's fighter pilots and its allies. During this time, Luke has graduated more than 56,000 fighter pilots. Luke is the only active-duty F-16 training wing for the Air Force. All F-16 combat pilots and maintainers currently in Afghanistan and Iraq were trained at Luke.

WHERE: Second Floor Conference Rm., State Capital/Executive Office
1700 W. Washington St., Phoenix, AZ 85007

WHEN: 10 A.M., WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2009

WHY: Each of the state's military installations is critical to the nation's military preparedness and national security, as well as to Arizona's economy. In fact, the military industry represents one the state's largest industries. Luke AFB in Glendale is the largest military base in Arizona in terms of the number of personnel it employs and the economic impact it generates for the state. Luke alone contributes more than $2.1 billion annual to Arizona's economy.

Homecoming

My computer connection has been spotty the last couple of days, so these are from last Friday night. :)It was a good night, as long as you discount the 30 minute lightening delay for heat lightening, and the refree's that were trying to give Irwin County the win. (Never knew that a high school coach was allowed to go on the field and get in a ref's face to get them to over turn a call without instant replay before!) Twiggs still won the game, it was too close for comfort, especially after the last several weeks of walking away with the games. Maybe they need Kelsey behind the camera after all. :)
Kelsey, DJ and I all left school at 11:30, so that Kelsey could come home and I could help her get ready for school. DJ came with us, because there are a couple of kids on the bus that I do not trust as far as I can throw them, if the girls are not on the bus. And Natalie was staying after school for a band thing. (I will put pictures up of the band's first football game in the next couple of days).

Personal Prayer request

Please keep my dad and mom in your prayers. My dad had a small stroke last night. He is at the VA in Phoenix right now waiting on more tests in the morning.
Please keep him and the doctors in your thoughts and prayers. Also my mom as she is there dealing with everything while I am in Georgia and Matt is in California.

I wasn't going to purchase an ad for my "photo" business. I was going to just buy an ad that rooted Kelsey and Cassidi on. But I figured since I was going to buy a full page ad to help Kelsey meet her goal, I might as well make it worth my while.

For all who want to know what teachers make...

Help Save Luke AFB

Luke AFB in Glendale is a major training base for fighter pilots. It’s been operational since just before World War II. More than half of the Air Force’s fighter pilots and 90 percent of its F-16 pilots have trained at Luke.

But now Luke’s future is in doubt.

The military plans to deploy a new F-35 jet fighter, built by Lockheed Martin, to replace the F-16. Luke is one of several bases under consideration to provide that training. It stands a good chance of being selected, but if it isn’t - Luke could be closed.

I’m asking you to express your support for Luke AFB as a training base for the F-35.

These are extraordinarily difficult economic times. There will be direct benefits to residents and businesses in the West Valley, metro Phoenix area and the state if Luke AFB becomes an F-35 training base.

1. The annual economic impact of Luke to the state’s economy is over $2 billion (comparable to the state hosting four Super Bowls each year).

2. Luke provides 6,000 military and civilian jobs, hosts 15,000 military family members and serves about 80,000 retired military members living in the metropolitan area.

3. The F-35 mission would bring with it decades of sustainable recession-proof economic benefits to the Valley and state of Arizona.

If you want to help persuade the Pentagon to select Luke AFB for the F-35, click on the website below. You’ll find the names of thousands of your neighbors who have already expressed their support. Join them, please. It takes only about a minute.
