Please Keep the Daniels family in your thoughts and prayers
Early this morning one of our local sherrif deputies was killed in a tragic car accident. Richard Daniels leaves behind a young wife and a beautiful baby girl. His mother in law works at the school with me. As you can imagine this has rocked our small community to the core! I had 6 phone calls before 9 am letting me know, for which I am eternally greatful as we are out of town til tomorrow.

Please keep Jerry's extended family in your thoughts and prayers
Jerry's mom called us last night to let us know that his cousin Deborah had been murdered. From what we have been told she had a disagreement with another woman over the phone, and when Deborah arrived at the home of a mutual acquaintance the woman jumped off the porch and stabbed her in the neck. Deborah's oldest daughter and her ex-husband both were there at the time and witnesses to the event. Her ex-husband attempted to get her to the hospital, however she did not make it.
She leaves behind 4 children ranging in age from 9 months to 18 years old, a husband, a father, an ex-husband (with whom she was still friends), her Aunt Carolyn, and cousins.
As you can imagine this has hit all of us pretty hard. Jerry and her were very close when they were young.
We are in Iowa for my grandmother's 85th birthday, and will not be at the funeral. We got the news while traveling. I left the decision up to Jerry if we would continue on up here or turn and go down to his moms. He and the girls chose to continue up here, as we don't want to not get to see my grandparents, especially at their ages. After the reunion we will go down to his mom's to see if there is anything we can do, since I figure by then people will have a chance to figure out what they need, and how best we can help.
Please keep Deborah's kids, husband and father in your thoughts and prayers, as they go through this terrible time. Also keep the rest of the family in your prayers so we can all figure out the best way to help them.

Amy and Tony's wedding
Saturday I had the pleasure of sharing in the day of Amy and Tony's wedding, as the official photographer.
Let me tell you it was HOT! But it was a beautiful day.
They are a wonderful couple and I had a great time spending the day with them and their family and friends.
Tony waiting on his blushing bride.

My favorite part of weddings? The look on the grooms face when he gets a look at his bride for the first time of the day. Tony did not disappoint me!

Friends of the Sheriff's Department Fundraiser
Sharon and I spent the evening last night making mailbox bows for the Friends of The Sherrif's office fundraiser for 4th of July. We knocked out about 16 in a couple of hours, and the more we worked the faster we became. The gentleman that showed Sharon how to make them said that they can make them in 3 minutes. I promise we are not that fast yet! lol
Please consider purchasing one for your mailbox to show your support of our sheriff's department and all of the military men and women out there! $10.00 each.
Proof that we hand tied all of these! :-) Please ignore the fact that I have no makeup on! I am usually the one behind the camera, but Sharon insisted that Bruce take a picture to prove I helped! ;)
By the way, my hands are sore now! :-)

Evening Prayer
"Evening Prayer
Someone has said that if Christians really understood the full extent of
the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless.
Did you know that during WWII there was an advisor to Churchill who
organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every day
at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the
safety of England, its people and peace?
There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in
America. If you would like to participate: Every evening at 9:00 PM
Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central) (7:00 PM Mountain) (6:00 PM Pacific),
stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety
of the United States, our troops, our citizens, and for a return to a
Godly nation. If you know anyone else who would like to participate,
please pass this along. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.
Please forward this to your praying friends."

Sad but true
Where are the TV Benefits with celebrities and musicians giving heart felt speeches on the poor fisherman, wildlife, beaches, loss of income and sabotaged gulf economy? I find it rather strange how these people (including our own............government) are so quick to help Haiti and other countries but...sit on their @ss for this one. Just the facts. Post if you agree
