DJ and I were invited to attend the Kids S.T.E.M. Day at the Museum of Aviation with Ms. Capece from our school.
We had such a great time!
First DJ got to look through a couple of telescopes.
Then we went outside and saw the remote controlled model airplanes put on an air show.
Then we went inside and the kids did space math with M&M's
At first DJ wasn't too sure about it, as the math part was on about 3rd and 4th grade level, but once we got into doing it he had a great time!
Then we moved on to learning about airplanes and what makes them fly.
The kids made paper helicopters
After they had taken a few minutes to fly their paper helicopters the moved onto making balsa wood gliders.
After lunch we moved on to making solar powered race cars.
At the end of the day we looked around a little
And let the boys go on the simulator ride. :0) All in all it was a great day!
