The Summer of #winning continues....

And before anyone thinks it, I am not referring in any way to #C.Sheen....

But this has been a pretty darn good summer for me and contests, especially if they are announced in some way on Twitter.

You see it all started with the NASATweetup, I entered, and I won. Not that it was a contest so much as a random drawing of the 5,500 people that entered, and I was one of the lucky 150 people to be chosen to go see the final launch of the space shuttle program.

Then a week or so later I was part of a #gno (girls night out) on Twitter sponsored by #UniversalOrando and I won four two day passes to Universal Studios Orlando.

Next I won 2 tickets from Hunts Brother's Pizza Racing to go to the Nationwide and Sprint Cup races in Pocono. I was honest with the woman when she called and told her that I would not be able to attend, and asked her to please call the next winner. (ya know because I didn't want that Karma fairy to bite me in the behind).

Then in late July, DJ and I went to David Ragan Ford to meet David Ragan (that I first read about on Twitter, then heard about it on the local radio station). While we were there, DJ won tickets to the dirt track in Dublin for that evening to watch David Ragan run the modified race that evening.

That night at the dirt track DJ and I bought raffle tickets for a chance to win several prizes, and wouldn't you know it, we won. We won a gift basket that had t-shirts from the different people racing that night, 2 tickets to go back to the races, and a couple of gift certificates to local BBQ places.

Plus that same night, DJ answered the kids trivia question correctly and won a box set from 1991 of racing cards.

Somewhere in there I did a #timeforteachers chat on Twitter and won a #timetorelax package from that. (I am not sure what all that entails as it hasn't arrived yet, but I know I won).

Fast forward a couple of weeks and I correctly guessed the winner of the Michigan NASCAR race the other week, and by random draw I won a garage tour from Atlanta Motorspeedway for this coming Saturday.

Next I won a signed Jimmie Johnson Sticker and a diecast (I think that's right at least).

Then two days ago I found out that I have been selected to be part of a hula hoop contest  sponsored by Papa Johns and Atlanta Motorspeedway which gets me 2 tickets to Sunday's race.

Tonight.... yes tonight, I found out that I won tickets to an upcoming Braves game from Georgia Tourism, all for uploading a picture of DJ with Brooks Conrad from the game we went to with the ASU alumni association, Georgia chapter.

In there here and there I have won a couple of dollars on the lottery, but nothing too remarkable. I would probably have to play more often than I do to really have a chance to win. But wouldn't that be nice?
