Respect

Respect between adults should always be a given.

It must however be a mutual respect.

Once that respect is lost, it can be lost forever.

Adults should always speak to one another the way that they wish to be spoken to.

The tone in which you speak to another adult can cost you their respect, and once you have lost their respect it may/will take you a long time to gain it back.

The adults may still have to respect the position that you hold, but they do not have to respect you as a person.

Talk to adults as a peer, not as a underling that knows nothing.

Talk to adults as adults not as children that need to be scolded.

Talk to adults as humans who have feelings, not as robots that do not.

Talk to adults as equals, some have just as much life experience as you do, some have more.
