Wednesday at school our science speciality teacher arranged to have the Starlab brought to our school to show to the 2nd and 4th grade students.
(Excuse me a minute while I pout that we, the third graders, didn't get a chance to go. Of course the solar system is not part of our standards.)
DJ's pre-k class was lucky enough that after circle time the star lab had a time frame for them to go and see.
As we were walking my students out to the bus ramp at dismissal DJ saw Mrs. F, standing at the door to the library.
He looked up at me and said "Momma, after circle time today we got to go to the library."
I said, "Wow for what DJ?" thinking that the library had been closed all day.
"We got to go crawl into the clubhouse, and watch the animals and the lights on the roof! It was dark and Spooky! But then the lights came on in the club house and they showed us the animals and the STARS!!!!"
We walked outside to his teacher Mrs. H and she said that he was a bit timid to crawl through the tunnel to get into the dome, but once he was inside he did a great job.
DJ made sure to thank both Mrs. H and Mrs. F for the great time in the clubhouse. Which of course cracked them both up.
