Bedtime with Elmo

The other week I participated in a twitter party, where we all talked about bedtime and the drama of trying to get our little ones to sleep.

One of the sponsors/hosts of the giveaway was @Momof2BoysLisa who was in charge of giving away the door prizes.

DJ and I were lucky enough to win one of the doorprizes. :) We won a copy of the Bedtime with Elmo DVD.

The other afternoon our copy came in the mail.

I am happy to say that we all enjoyed watching the DVD.

The DVD is really great.

It is mostly Elmo and his daddy talking about going to bed. It discusses fears, of the dark, and of missing something.

As DJ and I were watching the movie, there were several times when DJ said "That happens to me too Mommy." For us it was a great sounding board and a way for us to talk about some of DJ's fears. That night was the best night as far as getting DJ to go to bed, and stay in bed that we have had in a while.

One of my favorite parts was Andrea Bocelli singing "Time To Say Goodnight" to Elmo. :)

DJ and I highly recommend this movie to all of our Pre-K aged friends.
