As a celebration for our finishing the book How To Eat Fried Worms by Thomas Rockwell, we had a worm party. I made Jello worms, and tootsie roll worms and dirt cake. Then didn't tell the kids that they were made out of food. :-) They figured it out fairly quick but it was still fun to gross them out while it lasted. :-) 
Notice Jeffery the tiger had to get in on the act.
